Meet the Doctor
Dr. Kristen Daugherty George
Originally from Lebanon, Kentucky, Dr. Kristen Daugherty George received her B.A. in Biology from Bellarmine University and D.M.D. from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. In dental school, Dr. George was elected student body president and named to the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Honor Society. OKU only selects 12 percent of dental school graduates who have demonstrated high academic achievement and exemplary leadership qualities. Dr. George went on to earn her orthodontic certificate and M.S. in Craniofacial Biology at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry.
Dr. George is the current president of the Kentucky Association of Orthodontists (KAO). She is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Kentucky Dental Society, and Louisville Dental Society, and a charter member of the UofL School of Dentistry Alumni Council. Dr. George also sits on the Coalition for the Homeless Associate Board. She is an active member of the St. Margaret Mary Catholic Community, where she serves as a cantor. Dr. George loves to read and spends lots of her free time in the kitchen – she loves to cook!
Dr. George is married to her middle school sweetheart, Charles. They have three daughters – Eden, Ivy, and Rowan – and one son – Salem. The Georges stay busy with their family and following the Louisville Cardinals!
